At Sharan Welfare Foundation, we are committed to creating sustainable change through four key pillars of development:
We believe awareness is the foundation of empowerment. Through community outreach, financial literacy camps, and health awareness drives, we equip women and youth with vital information about their rights, welfare schemes, and livelihood opportunities. These efforts help individuals make informed decisions and access the support they need to thrive.
Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. We support formal and informal learning through scholarships, remedial classes, digital literacy programs, and skill-based training. Our aim is to foster lifelong learning, especially among girls and women, so they can build better futures for themselves and their families.
Our Joint Liability Group (JLG) model supports small and marginal borrowers—especially women entrepreneurs—who do not have access to formal financial institutions. We facilitate the formation of small groups (typically 4–10 members) who guarantee each other’s loans. This model not only ensures financial discipline but also fosters collective responsibility and community trust, enabling credit access without collateral.
Empowering women lies at the heart of everything we do. Through microfinance services, entrepreneurship development, capacity-building workshops, and mentorship, we help women gain financial independence and self-confidence. Our holistic model supports women in becoming agents of change in their households and communities.
